DO I NEED PLANNING PERMISSION?
Some buildings such as extensions, porches and loft conversions or additions to your house are considered to be permitted development. This means that they do not require an application for planning permission, provided certain limits and conditions are met.
In these cases, it is advisable to apply for a Lawful Development Certificate (LDC), and at Express Plans we can do this on your behalf.
If you’re building a house from scratch, or planning on doing something like a garage conversion, you’ll need to apply for planning permission. We can help you with this planning process and application too.

How we help you with your Permitted Development.
For permitted developments that do not require planning permission, we’ll help you get the LDC you need to ensure your project is lawful. We do this by making the application on your behalf, and submitting all the requisite documentation. If your proposed build does require planning permission, we can help you get planning approval through our planning permission service.
Budget friendly solution for your Permitted Development.
One of the biggest advantages of working with Express Plans is the cost-effective pricing we offer. Using our services rather than hiring an architect saves you money – which means more budget to invest in your building project! What’s more, our comprehensive Permitted Development service includes everything you need for a successful LCD application, with no surprise charges or hidden costs.
