DO I NEED PLANNING PERMISSION?

Some buildings such as extensions, porches and loft conversions or additions to your house are considered to be permitted development. This means that they do not require an application for planning permission, provided certain limits and conditions are met.

In these cases, it is advisable to apply for a Lawful Development Certificate (LDC), and at Express Plans we can do this on your behalf.

If you’re building a house from scratch, or planning on doing something like a garage conversion, you’ll need to apply for planning permission. We can help you with this planning process and application too.
